Barry I. Feinberg, M.D. received his B.S. degree from State University of New York, Binghamton, and his M.D. degree from State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. After an internship in Internal Medicine at Staten Island Hospital, Dr. Feinberg completed a residency in Anesthesiology at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He further specialized with a Cardiac Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and later became board certified in Anesthesiology in 1985. While working in pain management, he founded the prototype of Injury Specialists in 1988. Dr. Feinberg has given over 100 lectures on anesthesia and treatment of pain in the injured patient. Dr. Feinberg became board certified in Pain Management in September 1996.
Rachel A. Feinberg, M.D. received her B.S. from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and her M.D. degree from the State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Feinberg performed her internship and residency in anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania. She also completed a Fellowship in Obstetrics Anesthesiology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She became board certified in 1985. After sustaining a catastrophic fracture of the right arm, Dr. Feinberg became very interested in post-operative recuperation through manual physical therapy. In January of 1994, she developed a rehabilitation team of physical therapists known as Injury Specialists.
Both doctors are members and participate in the American Society of Anesthesiology, National Society of Pain Management, National Chronic Pain Outreach, Incl., Society of Pain Practice Management and the American Medical Association among other professional organizations.
Drs. Rachel and Barry Feinberg are frequently invited lecturers at Health Centers, businesses, professional and public seminars and are considered authorities in the rehabilitation of patients with pain syndromes.
